Adding a Rear Seat to Your ATV
Your ATV may be able to safely handle two passengers, but may be built as a standard one-seated model. Fortunately, it's possible to upgrade your quad so that it can handle two people. Read on to learn more!
The Benefits of an ATV Rear Seat
A second seat provides a safe and comfortable space for your passenger. In fact, many places won't allow two riders on an ATV with only one seat. This can be reason enough for most riders!
But another key advantage is the extra storage space. Some four wheeler rear seats can come with built-in storage compartments. A typical quad doesn't come with a lot of storage space, so this upgrade can be a huge help for riders bringing along things like fishing gear.
Choosing an ATV Rear Seat
Think about the size of your intended passenger and keep their frame in mind. You don't want a seat that's too big or too small, after all!
It's also wise to get a seat with at least 2 inches of closed-cell foam. This helps promote a comfortable riding experience, especially on the bumpy trails.
Make sure to choose a rear seat with a waterproof material if you’re the type to go into muddy terrain or live in a wetter climate. In general, the seat is bound to get wet when you’re outdoors.
The best way to see if you’re going to need to add that rear seat is for you to come to our dealership and the ATVs out yourselves. We suggest that you come check out what we have in our inventory at Arizona Honda. We’re located in Snowflake, AZ, and if you’re in the Show Low or Holbrook area, we’d love to see you, too.
